The Story
Invented by chemist Peter Schlumbohm, this filter coffee maker is held in the Museum of Modern Art as an example of the best design of modern times.
The hourglass shaped flask is made of handblown glass, with a simple elegant handle bound with a leather tie.
Chemex coffee, filtered through specialty bonded paper, is renowned for its clean flavour as the filter removes sediment, oil and bitter flavour compounds. The ideal way to taste a special single origin coffee - full of sweetness and flavour.
The three cup brewer yields approximately 450ml and utilises unfolded half-moon filters.
